Цифровой спутниковый ресивер.  Основной отличительной особенностью является наличие RISC процессора PowerPC сокоростью 250MHz, что позволяет спокойно запускать на ресивере операционную систему Linux. Dreambox DM600 / DM600PVR поддерживает стандартный API Linux (DirectFB, Linux, LIRC, ...), ENIGMA1, HDD 2.5 ".
Также STB (set-top box) включает в себя 10/100 Mbit Ethernet, что позволяет подключить его непосредствнно к ADSL роутеру, и тем самым подключить ресивер к интернету без наличия компьютера. Устройство подходит для реализации как клиент или сервера кардшаринга.
